    Warren Holmes, former CEO of Hudbay Minerals Inc. With over 40-years experience in the mining industry, Holmes serves as Chairman of Wallbridge Mining Company Limited and Lead Director of Forago International SA. He is also on the board of directors for Hudbay Minerals Inc, Nvingco Resources Limited, Victory Nickel Inc and other private corporations. Holmes was previously with Noranda Inc and Falconbridge Limited and has served as President of Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum as well as Chairman of the Ontario Mining Association and Co-Chair of the Ontario Mineral Industry Cluster Council.

    Mr. Alfredo Ovalle, current Advisory Chair and National Advisor to Chile’s National Society of Mining.  Ovalle also serves on the board of Empresas Minera Las Cenizas. He has held a variety of legal and executive positions including President of the Confederation of Production and Trade, Executive Chair at the National Copper Corporation.  A professor of Finance Law at the Catholic University of Chile, he is the former legal advisor to various mining and construction companies including Constructor Faoram, Compañía  Minera San Antonio del Huasco and Compañía Minera Carrizal Alto.  Ovalle studied law at the Catholic University of Chile and completed specialized studies at New York University and the London School of Economics.

       
       

    Mr. Gordon Peeling, former President and CEO of the Mining Association of Canada. Mr. Peeling recently stepped down from this position at the end of May 2011 after a distinguished thirteen and a half year career leading the peak industry body in Canada.  Prior to joining the Mining Association, he was Vice President of the International Council on Metals and the Environment.  With over 35 years of mining experience, Peeling currently serves as a Director of Great Quest Metals Ltd. and the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation.  He is also a member of the External Stakeholder Advisory Panel to Inmet Mining Corporation.  Peeling has also served as the Chair of the Raw Materials Committee of the Business and Industry Advisory Council to the OECD since 2002 and completed his final term of office in October of 2011.  He has previously served as an advisor to three Universities on matters of curricula (Carleton University, Ryerson University and the Schulich School of Business of York University) as well as numerous government advisory bodies.  He is a past chair of the International Copper Study Group, former First Vice President of the Sociedad Interamericana de Mineria and a past Director of the Mineral Economic Management Society.  In addition to his government and association experience, he worked in the private sector with Inco Ltd. and Gulf Minerals Canada Limited. 

       

    James Roberts, former Chairman and CEO of Foundation Coal Holdings, Inc. Roberts currently serves on the board of Alpha Natural Resources. A true veteran of the natural resources sector, Roberts has held leading positions at RAG American Coal Holdings Inc, Coal ARBED, International Trading, Carbomin Coal Company, Leckie Smokeless Coal Company and Solar Fuel Company. A business major by training and a CPA, Roberts has also held industry stewardship positions across the natural resources sector and the most notable of which is former Chairman of the National Mining Association. 

       
     

     

    Mr. Rob Still, current Chairman of Pangea Exploration and Zimbabwe Platinum Mines Ltd. Still has spent more than 25 years in the mining industry, holding both executive and non-executive director positions in junior and major mining companies listed in South Africa, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. He previously served as Chairman of the New Africa Mining Fund, as Director of Great Basin Gold and Pan African Resources and as Chief Executive Officer of Southern Mining Ltd and Rhombus Exploration Ltd. Still began his career as a chartered accountant after receiving a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Witwaterstrand and the University of Cape Town. 

       
       

    Bernard Swanepoel, former managing director of Harmony, part of Randgold.  An early career with Gengold preceded his 13 years as Harmony’s head, where he managed a series of acquisitions to achieve the company’s growth ambitions.  More recently Bernard established To The Point Growth Specialists (Pty) Ltd which operates in the resources and resources-related space and specializes in formulating, assisting with and in some cases delivering growth solutions for clients.  He serves as a director of ARM Limited, Sanlam Limited, Simmers and Jack and Village Main Reef Gold Mining Company (1934) Limited.
